Twelve international and leading humanitarian organizations accused the Houthis of blocking humanitarian aid delivery and activities in Yemen.
According to the statement of the organizations, the Houthis create obstacles for the delivery of humanitarian assistance, leading to delays and refusals in providing necessary support to those who need it most, thereby aggravating the humanitarian situation in the country.
"Blocking humanitarian assistance undermines our ability to provide critical aid to the population of Yemen at the moment when it is needed most," the organizations noted in a joint statement.
These organizations called on the Houthis to ensure unimpeded and unrestricted access for humanitarian organizations to those in need of help, and also to guarantee the security and protection of personnel engaged in providing humanitarian assistance in the country.
Representatives of international organizations emphasized that it is important for humanitarian assistance to reach those who need it, and called on all parties to the conflict in Yemen to cooperate on this matter.
